Section 1

ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

Welcome to MapMyIssue, an independent community-driven civic reporting platform operated by Motorpark ("MapMyIssue", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MapMyIssue website, applications, features, services and community functionality (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and any applicable Community Guidelines. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform. If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation or another person, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

Section 2

WHAT IS MAPMYISSUE

MapMyIssue is an independent community platform that allows users to document, discover, discuss and raise awareness about civic and public issues. The Platform may contain reports concerning matters such as:

  • Roads
  • Potholes
  • Footpaths
  • Drainage
  • Street infrastructure
  • Public spaces
  • Traffic-related civic conditions
  • Public facilities
  • Other community-reported issues

MapMyIssue is intended to facilitate community documentation and awareness. MapMyIssue is not a government department, municipal authority, police authority, regulatory authority, emergency service or official grievance portal. Unless expressly stated otherwise, MapMyIssue has no authority to order repairs, compel government action, impose penalties or determine whether a reported issue constitutes a legal violation.

Section 3

NO OFFICIAL COMPLAINT

Submitting a report to MapMyIssue:

  • Does not constitute filing a complaint with a government authority
  • Does not create a legal notice
  • Does not create an official municipal complaint
  • Does not guarantee investigation by a government body
  • Does not guarantee corrective action
  • Does not create any governmental reference number
  • Does not create any legal or contractual relationship between the reporting user and any government authority

Users who require urgent, emergency or official intervention should contact the relevant competent authority directly.

Section 4

ELIGIBILITY

MapMyIssue is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using the Platform, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and Conditions
  • The information you provide to MapMyIssue is accurate to the best of your knowledge

We may suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe that eligibility requirements have not been met.

Section 5

YOUR ACCOUNT

Certain features require an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining the security of your login credentials
  • Keeping your account information reasonably up to date
  • Preventing unauthorised use of your account
  • All activity carried out through your account, subject to applicable law

You must not:

  • Create an account using another person's identity
  • Impersonate another person or organisation
  • Create accounts for fraudulent purposes
  • Share account credentials in a manner that compromises security
  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate Platform activity
  • Circumvent an account suspension or ban

You should notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Section 6

GUEST ACCESS

Certain areas of MapMyIssue may be accessible without an account. Guests may be able to browse, view and share publicly available content. Login may be required to submit reports, comment, support reports, flag content or use other community features. We may change access requirements for individual features at any time where reasonably necessary for security, Platform integrity, legal compliance or operational reasons.

Section 7

USER-GENERATED CONTENT

MapMyIssue allows users to submit content including reports, descriptions, photographs, videos, comments, locations, status updates, community feedback, supports/upvotes and other information relating to reported issues. This content is referred to collectively as "User Content".

You remain responsible for User Content you submit. You must ensure that your User Content is lawful, reasonably accurate to the best of your knowledge, relevant to the reported issue and submitted in good faith.

Section 8

RULES FOR REPORTING AN ISSUE

When submitting a report, you must:

  • Describe the issue honestly
  • Avoid knowingly false or fabricated claims
  • Use reasonable care when identifying the location
  • Avoid unnecessary personal information
  • Avoid targeting individuals
  • Avoid making unsupported criminal or serious misconduct allegations
  • Avoid deliberately misleading titles or descriptions
  • Avoid submitting duplicate reports for the purpose of manipulating visibility
  • Submit only content that you have the right or lawful basis to submit

A report should document a civic issue—not be used as a vehicle for personal disputes, retaliation, harassment or public targeting.

Section 9

FALSE, MISLEADING OR MALICIOUS REPORTS

You must not knowingly submit or promote false reports, fabricated incidents, manipulated photographs or videos presented as genuine evidence, misleading locations, false claims about individuals or organisations, deliberately misleading descriptions, coordinated false reporting, reports intended primarily to damage someone's reputation, or content designed to manipulate community sentiment.

Mistakes and good-faith inaccuracies are not necessarily violations. However, knowingly false, malicious, fraudulent or deliberately misleading activity may result in content removal, account restrictions, account suspension, account termination, loss of Platform privileges, and/or disclosure of information where legally required or permitted.

Section 10

REPORTS INVOLVING INDIVIDUALS OR ORGANISATIONS

MapMyIssue may contain reports that identify or refer to businesses, organisations, government bodies, public officials, employees, contractors or other individuals. Users must distinguish between documenting an observable civic issue and making an accusation against a person or organisation.

Users must not use MapMyIssue to make unsupported allegations of criminal conduct, fraud, corruption, theft, abuse, dishonesty, professional misconduct or other serious wrongdoing. Where an issue can be documented without naming an individual, users should avoid unnecessary identification.

MapMyIssue does not adopt, endorse or independently verify allegations contained in User Content.

Section 11

NO HARASSMENT, DOXXING OR VIGILANTISM

MapMyIssue must not be used to harass, intimidate or threaten anyone, encourage violence, publish private contact information, home addresses, personal phone numbers, private email addresses, or reveal sensitive personal information. It must not be used to encourage users to confront or target an individual, organise harassment campaigns, encourage vigilantism, or encourage users to take unlawful action against another person.

We may remove or restrict content that creates a material risk of harassment, targeting, intimidation or harm.

Section 12

PHOTOS, VIDEOS AND RECORDINGS

You may upload photographs and videos for legitimate documentation of civic issues. You must not intentionally upload media for the purpose of identifying private individuals, shaming, harassing or threatening individuals, exposing private information, publishing confidential documents, or violating another person's reasonable expectation of privacy.

Where individuals, vehicle registration numbers or other identifying information are incidentally captured while documenting a public issue, users should avoid unnecessary close-ups and identifying details where reasonably possible. MapMyIssue may remove, restrict, blur, anonymise or otherwise moderate media where appropriate.

Section 13

PRIVACY OF OTHERS

You must not submit another person's personal information unless you have a lawful basis to do so and the information is reasonably necessary for the report. You are responsible for exercising reasonable care before publishing names, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, government identification, medical information, financial information, private correspondence or other sensitive personal information.

MapMyIssue may remove or restrict content containing unnecessary personal information.

Section 14

LOCATION ACCURACY

MapMyIssue relies on users to provide or confirm report locations. You must not intentionally submit a false or misleading location, a location unrelated to the reported issue, or a private location unnecessarily identifying another person. MapMyIssue may modify, approximate, restrict or remove location information where reasonably necessary for privacy, security, safety or Platform integrity.

Section 15

COMMUNITY SUPPORTS, VOTES AND ENGAGEMENT

MapMyIssue may provide features such as Supports, upvotes, flags, comments, status suggestions or other community interactions. These features represent community interaction and do not constitute official verification, legal findings or government endorsement.

Users must not manipulate community engagement through fake accounts, automated activity, purchased engagement, coordinated fraudulent activity, repeated voting, vote manipulation, scripts or bots, or other deceptive methods. MapMyIssue may invalidate, remove or adjust manipulated engagement. Community activity may be reviewed when determining whether content or accounts require moderation.

Section 16

REPORT STATUS AND COMMUNITY VERIFICATION

Where MapMyIssue provides community status features, labels such as "Reported", "Supported", "Community Verified", "Community Fixed" or similar labels are Platform classifications and should not automatically be interpreted as official government findings. A community status may be based on information available to MapMyIssue at the relevant time and may change. MapMyIssue does not guarantee that a community status is accurate or permanent.

Section 17

DUPLICATE REPORTS

MapMyIssue may identify or consolidate reports concerning the same or substantially similar issue. Duplicate detection may be performed manually, automatically or through a combination of methods. A report may be merged, linked, restricted, archived, marked as duplicate or removed. Users must not intentionally create multiple reports solely to increase visibility, engagement or perceived community support.

Section 18

CONTENT MODERATION

MapMyIssue may, but is not obligated to, review User Content. We may remove, restrict, modify, disable access to, archive or otherwise moderate User Content where we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, Community Guidelines, applicable law, another person's rights, contains personal or sensitive information, is fraudulent, abusive or threatening, defamatory or potentially unlawful, infringes intellectual property rights, is spam, duplicated, misleading, manipulates Platform functionality, creates a security risk, or otherwise threatens the safety, integrity or proper operation of MapMyIssue.

We may take action even where content has not been conclusively determined to violate the law.

Section 19

NO OBLIGATION TO PRE-SCREEN

MapMyIssue does not guarantee that User Content will be reviewed before it becomes publicly accessible. We may rely on users and third parties to report potentially problematic content. The absence of immediate moderation does not constitute approval, verification or endorsement of User Content.

Section 20

REPORTING CONTENT

Users may report content they believe violates these Terms, Community Guidelines, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, applicable law or other Platform rules. A report should contain sufficient information for MapMyIssue to identify and evaluate the relevant content. Submitting a complaint does not guarantee removal. MapMyIssue may request additional information or evidence where reasonably necessary.

Section 21

PRIVACY AND TAKEDOWN REQUESTS

If you believe content on MapMyIssue reveals unnecessary personal information, violates your privacy, was published without appropriate rights, contains unlawful content, infringes intellectual property, or creates another legitimate legal concern, you may contact us. We may assess the request and take action where required by law or where we otherwise consider action appropriate. We are not required to remove content merely because someone disputes it.

Where a report concerns a genuine public issue, MapMyIssue may preserve the underlying historical record while removing or anonymising unnecessary personal information.

Section 22

USER CONTENT OWNERSHIP

You retain ownership of original User Content that you lawfully own. However, by submitting User Content to MapMyIssue, you grant MapMyIssue a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence, to the extent permitted by law, to host, store, reproduce, display, format, adapt, translate, distribute, make publicly available and otherwise process that User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, secure and promote MapMyIssue and its services.

This licence continues for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, including where content forms part of the historical community record. You represent that you have the necessary rights to grant this licence.

Section 23

CONTENT YOU MUST NOT SUBMIT

You must not upload, post, transmit or otherwise make available content that is unlawful, fraudulent, knowingly false or fabricated, defamatory or maliciously intended to damage another person's reputation, infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights, violates privacy rights, contains sensitive personal information without lawful justification, contains malware or malicious code, attempts to compromise Platform security, impersonates another person or organisation, promotes harassment or threats, encourages violence or vigilantism, constitutes spam, contains unauthorised advertising or solicitation, attempts to manipulate community engagement, attempts to evade Platform restrictions, contains sexually exploitative or unlawful content, involves exploitation of children, facilitates illegal activity, deliberately misrepresents the source of information, uses manipulated media deceptively, uses fake AI-generated videos, attempts to expose another person's private information, or otherwise violates applicable law or these Terms.

Section 24

COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

You must not upload content that you do not have the right to use. If you believe content on MapMyIssue infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may contact us with identification of the protected work, identification of the allegedly infringing content, information sufficient to locate the content, your contact information, a statement explaining your ownership or authority, and any other information reasonably necessary to evaluate the complaint. MapMyIssue may remove or restrict allegedly infringing content while a complaint is reviewed. Submitting a complaint does not automatically establish infringement.

Section 25

MAPMYISSUE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, the MapMyIssue name, logo, branding, website design, software, interface, graphics, original text, databases, features and other Platform materials are owned by or licensed to Motorpark. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, scrape or commercially exploit Platform materials except where expressly permitted by law or by us in writing.

Section 26

PROHIBITED PLATFORM USE

You must not access non-public areas of the Platform, circumvent security controls, attempt unauthorised access, scrape data at a scale that interferes with Platform operation, introduce malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, reverse engineer the Platform except where legally permitted, probe or test security without authorisation, use bots to manipulate Platform functionality, interfere with another user's account, harvest personal information, circumvent rate limits, create fraudulent accounts, manipulate engagement, abuse reporting systems, or use the Platform in a manner that could reasonably damage its operation or security.

Section 27

AUTOMATED SYSTEMS AND AI

MapMyIssue may use automated tools, algorithms or artificial intelligence to assist with functions such as spam detection, duplicate detection, content categorisation, search, moderation, image or text analysis, fraud detection, Platform analytics or community trend analysis. Automated systems may make errors. MapMyIssue may use human review where appropriate, particularly for significant moderation or account decisions. Users must not use automated systems to manipulate or attack the Platform.

If MapMyIssue introduces AI-generated or synthetically generated content or features, additional rules may apply.

Section 28

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

MapMyIssue may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, databases, mapping, geolocation, analytics, email delivery, security, infrastructure and other technical functions. Third-party services may have their own terms and policies. MapMyIssue is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions, availability, security or policies of third-party providers except to the extent required by applicable law.

Section 29

AVAILABILITY OF THE PLATFORM

We may modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue all or part of MapMyIssue at any time. The Platform may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical failures, security incidents, third-party service failures, Internet infrastructure, updates, force majeure events or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Section 30

NO VERIFICATION OR WARRANTY OF USER CONTENT

MapMyIssue does not guarantee that any report, photograph, video, comment, location, status, community vote or other User Content is accurate, complete, current, authentic, verified, reliable, unbiased or suitable for any particular purpose. Information available on MapMyIssue should not be treated as professional, legal, engineering, medical, financial, safety or governmental advice. Users should independently verify information before relying on it.

Section 31

NO GUARANTEE OF GOVERNMENT ACTION

MapMyIssue does not guarantee that a reported issue will be investigated, that a government authority will view or respond to a report, that an issue will be repaired, that a business or organisation will respond, that a report will result in legal action, or that any particular outcome will occur. MapMyIssue's purpose is documentation and community awareness, not guaranteed resolution.

Section 32

USER DISPUTES

MapMyIssue is not responsible for disputes between users or between users and third parties arising from User Content. If users have a disagreement concerning a report, comment, business, government body, individual or other third party, they should resolve the matter through appropriate lawful channels. MapMyIssue may intervene only where reasonably necessary for Platform moderation, security, safety or legal compliance.

Section 33

THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS

Users are solely responsible for claims arising from User Content or their misuse of the Platform, subject to applicable law. If a third party alleges that your User Content infringes their rights, violates their privacy, defames them, causes unlawful harm, or violates applicable law, MapMyIssue may investigate and take appropriate Platform action. You agree to reasonably cooperate with legitimate investigations concerning content submitted through your account.

Section 34

INDEMNIFICATION

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless MapMyIssue, Motorpark and their respective owners, personnel, contractors and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and reasonable expenses arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, your User Content, your violation of another person's rights, your infringement of intellectual property, your unlawful conduct, or your fraudulent or malicious use of the Platform. This provision does not apply to the extent that applicable law prohibits such indemnification.

Section 35

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MapMyIssue and Motorpark shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages arising from or relating to User Content, reliance on information published on the Platform, inaccurate reports, third-party conduct, Platform interruptions, loss of data, unauthorised access, third-party services, community disputes, government action or inaction, or use or inability to use the Platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Section 36

ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your account or access to some or all Platform features where we reasonably believe that you violated these Terms or applicable law, your account presents a security risk, your account is being used fraudulently, you manipulated Platform activity, you repeatedly submitted prohibited content, your activity threatens other users or the Platform, or suspension is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect MapMyIssue or its community. Where appropriate and legally permissible, we may provide an opportunity to address the issue. We are not required to provide advance notice where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

Section 37

EFFECT OF ACCOUNT TERMINATION

If your account is terminated or deleted, your right to use restricted account features may end, you may lose access to your account, certain User Content may remain publicly accessible, historical reports may continue to exist, records may be retained where legally or operationally necessary, and information may continue to be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Termination does not automatically erase historical public records.

Section 38

LEGAL REQUESTS AND DISCLOSURES

MapMyIssue may preserve or disclose information where required or permitted by applicable law, including in response to court orders, lawful government requests, law-enforcement requests, legal proceedings, investigations, emergency circumstances, or requests necessary to protect safety, rights or property. Where legally permitted, we may seek to notify affected users, but we cannot guarantee such notice.

Section 39

CHANGES TO THE PLATFORM

MapMyIssue may introduce new features, modify existing features or discontinue features. New features may be subject to additional terms. Where a new feature materially changes the way the Platform operates, we may update these Terms or provide additional notices where appropriate.

Section 40

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be identified by the "Last Updated" date. Where required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice of material changes. Continued use of the Platform after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform.

Section 41

PRIVACY

Our collection and processing of personal information is governed by the MapMyIssue Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, public visibility of reports, account deletion, data retention, third-party processing, privacy rights and other privacy-related matters.

Section 42

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

MapMyIssue may publish separate Community Guidelines describing acceptable behaviour and content standards. Community Guidelines form part of these Terms. Where there is a conflict between the Community Guidelines and these Terms, these Terms will generally control unless expressly stated otherwise.

Section 43

GRIEVANCE AND COMPLAINTS

Users and third parties may contact MapMyIssue regarding privacy concerns, content complaints, copyright complaints, abuse, harassment, impersonation, illegal content, account issues or other Platform concerns. Requests should include sufficient information to allow MapMyIssue to understand and evaluate the issue. Where applicable law imposes specific grievance mechanisms, timelines or disclosure obligations, MapMyIssue will follow those requirements.

Section 44

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory rights and protections applicable to the user. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Section 45

JURISDICTION

Subject to applicable law, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra, INDIA. Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties should attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute through written communication where reasonably practicable. Nothing in this section prevents MapMyIssue from seeking urgent or interim legal relief where necessary to protect its rights, Platform, users, systems or intellectual property.

Section 46

SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permitted. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Section 47

NO WAIVER

Failure by MapMyIssue to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision later.

Section 48

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and any additional terms expressly incorporated into the Platform, constitute the agreement governing your use of MapMyIssue, subject to applicable law.
